Chinook Bay Camp Hosting: What I learned

Wow. We’ve been busy.  If you’ve tried to reach us or come to visit us you know this isn’t a boring gig. At all.  

Friends and family have come and spent a few nights with us, with everyone commenting how busy we are. We are!  Campers on top of campers, people at the door all hours of the day and night. Snakes in tents, loud drunk campers in their 60s who must be reminded of quiet hours; trees falling almost on top of tents; trees falling on camper vans (no one was hurt, thank goodness) and oh, so much more. Tree Trimming- Florida Style

We got our last seasonal Workamping position like we get most of our jobs these days, by talking to other fulltime RVers we meet and sharing information about our past jobs we enjoyed or would recommend. We met a couple this past summer at our Jellystone job who travel down to Florida every year to sell Christmas Trees. We had heard of RVers doing this but rarely met anyone so we had so many questions and were lucky enough to have Burt and Dori to give us first hand experience and reassure us that the company they work for in Florida was legit. LAS CRUCES LOVE

It was practically love at first sight…but first, how we got there.

As I mentioned in my last post, our visit to El Paso, TX was super-short due to weather and the lack of a car. It was the first time I have been in a Walmart and didn’t see any other white people! Who let the dogs do what?

Who let the dogs do WHAT?? Who? Who? Who?

We made it to Arizona last Monday.  It was a long, three-day event-filled trip from Idaho. I suppose we kind of like it that way; uneventful sounds rather boring these days. Smile.
