Only have 133 days to go, but who’s counting right?

We are not on the road yet but only have 133 days to go, but who’s counting right? The story you are about to read is about The Cotton Family; Chris, Kimberly, Piper and Gemma the German Shepherd. Ages: 44, 29N, 13 and 2. About 2 years ago as we were traveling back from Oklahoma […]

3…2…1! Exercising on the Road

Workamping is truly a wonderful way to see the country and make new friends-for- life in the process. The spirit of adventure is always with us as we move from place to place with each passing season. I do, however, also enjoy the comfort of returning to a location where I like the people, the […]

I had fantasized about how we could live life differently…

We are a Workamping couple under the age of 45 that also have a family in tow.  We have 2 children who we, in addition to Workamping, also homeschool.   A few years ago in the middle of the February winter doldrums, I had fantasized about how we could live life differently.  We decided to […]

Controlling the Humidity in your RV

Maintaining a safe, mold free environment in our 26 foot motorhome is a top priority, more so with the fact that Levi suffers from asthma, I am pretty much allergic to all life springs about, and, of course, we have our pets (3 cats and dog) to protect. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), […]

Tree Trimming- Florida Style

We got our last seasonal Workamping position like we get most of our jobs these days, by talking to other fulltime RVers we meet and sharing information about our past jobs we enjoyed or would recommend. We met a couple this past summer at our Jellystone job who travel down to Florida every year to sell Christmas Trees. We had heard of RVers doing this but rarely met anyone so we had so many questions and were lucky enough to have Burt and Dori to give us first hand experience and reassure us that the company they work for in Florida was legit. LAS CRUCES LOVE

It was practically love at first sight…but first, how we got there.

As I mentioned in my last post, our visit to El Paso, TX was super-short due to weather and the lack of a car. It was the first time I have been in a Walmart and didn’t see any other white people! We were impressed by how art is everywhere in El Paso – even on the highways! Here are a few photos to give you a taste.

Off the Grid!

A sunny and brisk day beckoned us to go in search of waterfalls. This area of South Carolina boasts some of the most majestic waterfalls in the country; in fact, there are more waterfalls along the Chattooga River that runs through North Carolina, South […]

Who let the dogs do what?

Who let the dogs do WHAT?? Who? Who? Who?

We made it to Arizona last Monday.  It was a long, three-day event-filled trip from Idaho. I suppose we kind of like it that way; uneventful sounds rather boring these days. Smile. This is our first time pulling this rig on the highway, so we were curious how it would do.  We averaged 6.5 mpg. Wahoo? Read more about Who let the dogs do what?

Workamping is not a secret-

So when we meet people, which happens frequently, we get asked the same questions…I should get a t-shirt made the front says I’m a full time RVer and back is the questions.

  • Where are you going next?
  • What is your favorite place?
  • What do you do for work?

It’s like I’m psychic, but I swear every time. Read more about Workamping is not a secret-
